To align oneself with the Lord is to agree with the Lord and be glad in Him at all times. It is to let one’s heart be in harmony with the Lord’s will and to intentionally commit all one’s will and plan to Him. It is to let one’s affections, motivations and priorities be in total agreement with God so much that one’s contentment is to live in righteousness and holiness. (1 Tim.6:6)

One is aligned with the Lord when one recognizes and commits to Him as God Almighty who is loving, kind, merciful, forgiving. One whose love, peace, and joy enables those that have trust in Him overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom.15:13) The Lord whose discipline and correction is as profit that make one to be partaker of His holiness. (Heb.12:10) One who enables those that delight in Him receive their heart desires. (Psalm.37:4)

Aligning with the Lord is to continually walk in faith. To Walk in faith is to follow God’s way in ones’ journey of faith. Faith that gives one the opportunity to believe what the Bible teaches and to trust God’s character that He will fulfil His word. Trust that helps one to experience personal encounter and deep intimacy with God. Intimacy that comes through the work of the Holy Spirit who brings God’s truth to one’s heart. Truth that helps one to turn from evil and grow in godliness that gives the knowledge and understanding of God’s perspective in every situation of life. Perspectives of God’s power, faithfulness, grace and mercy that strengthens one when he is weak and gives one comfort when afflicted. Trust that enables one to patiently wait in faith when God’s work is in process.

To align oneself with the Lord is to be humble and obedient to the word of God. The word of God helps one to get rid of all moral filth and evil expression. (James.1:21) Obedience views all sins as filthy and help one to strive to be holy in obedience to God who expects His people to be holy because He the Lord God is holy. The kind of humility that earned Jesus the credit that “No sin was found in Him” because He committed no sin and no deceit was found in Him. Humility and obedience that prevents one from retaliating evil with evil and one exalted.

Align oneself with the Lord is to commits one’s daily plan to the Lord and patiently wait for Him knowing that He is the all-knowing God who is greater than one’s heart. One who knows everything about man, including man’s thought and his action. (Psalm.139:2) The Almighty whose wisdom and greatness strengthens the weak (Isa.40:28) and the ultimate source of man’s strength and ability to produce wealth. (Deut.8:18) Wealth that is needed to meet all that man desires to sustain him on the earth.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, aligning with the Lord produces personal intimacy with God. It enriches one’s faith and trust by which one is able to operate in true satisfaction. Satisfaction that enables one to live a lifestyle and conduct of humility and obedience that is devoid of sin. Aligning with the Lord gives one the ability to be content with such things God has provided for him and he is anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving he makes his request to be known to the Lord so much that the peace of the Lord that surpass all understanding will guard his hearts and minds through Christ Jesus and the Lord is gracious to him.
